Harvest Assembly (added 11.10.19) NEW!! Thank you very much to our Calderwood Community for your very generous donations for our harvest assembly. We are blown away by your generosity and appreciate all of your very kind donations for Rutherglen and Cambuslang Foodbank.
'Cut and Coffee' Mornings (added 20.09.19) We are currently introducing Active Literacy into Calderwood Primary to raise attainment in literacy across the whole school. This new initiative requires lots of new resources for the children to use to aid their learning. Our aim is to create these resources so they are easily accessible for both the children and teachers.
We really need your support and are asking if anyone would be willing to give up a little time to come along to a ‘Cut and Coffee’ morning to help laminate and cut out these resources. We hope to run these on a weekly basis for as long as it will take to make the resources. You do not need to come every week, just come along when you can. The first ‘Cut and Coffee’ morning will take place on Friday 4th October. If you are interested in coming along, please check your child's bag for a letter with a return slip and hand it in to school by Thursday 26th September. Coffee and biscuits will be provided!!
New Football Strip Sponsorship (added 20.09.19) We are looking to replace our current school football strips and are looking for a local business or company to provide a sponsor for these. If you would be willing to provide full or part sponsorship of the new strips please get in touch with either Mrs Combe or Mrs Kirkland either by email or phone.
