I take this opportunity to welcome you to Calderwood Primary, which is within the Stonelaw Learning Community. Mrs Patricia Rossi is our Area Manager.

Here is our Statement of Aims:-

Curriculum
To provide a broad, balanced, differentiated curriculum which takes account of national and local guidance, by ensuring that programmes of work are effectively planned and implemented.

Attainment
To ensure that all children at Calderwood Primary reach their full potential by offering coursework which builds on their knowledge and skills.

Learning and Teaching
To encourage pupils to develop independent and interdependent learning skills by providing appropriate structured and stimulation learning situations.

Support for Pupils
To provide care for emotional, physical and social needs of all pupils by providing a safe and secure environment for them.

Ethos
To provide a positive ethos by establishing and maintaining strong and respectful relationships between pupils and all staff, parents and the wider community.

Resources
To utilise effectively the wide range of staff expertise and other relevant materials to enhance the teaching and learning process.

Management and Quality Assurance
To ensure that all aspects of school life are monitored and evaluated continuously.
